Your Portable Hot Tub Needs to be Maintained

Maintaining your portable spa is very important. When you keep it clean and the chemical levels correct. You will prolong the life of your portable spa.

The chemicals are essential to maintaining your spa. Only use the recommended chemicals. These portable hot tubs use bromine and not chlorine.

2. To make the chemicals work correctly and not cause damage. It is important to dissolve the chemicals before adding them to your hot tub. Take just a couple of gallons of water from your portable spa and dissolve the chemical into the water.

3. Then turn on the jets to circulate the water in your portable hot tub. While this occurs slowly add the water back into the tub. Put only one chemical in at a time.

4. Do not be afraid to check your chemicals often. It can save you money in the long run. You should check your chemicals at least once a week whether you have gone in or not. It is recommended that you check chemical levels everytime you use it.

5. Make sure your levels are correct. A low pH can cause damage to the vinyl. It can pucker and wrinkle. Also the heater can be damaged. This could potentialy void your warrenty.

6. Here are the recomended ranges for your water chemistry. pH 7.4-7.6 total allcalinity 80-120 ppm calcium hardness 150-250 ppm bromine residual 2-3ppm total dissolved solids below 1500ppm

7. When using a bromine feeder. If holes are required. Please start with one hole on the top and one on the bottom. Set your feeder in the water and check water chemistry after two days. If the bromine level is not at 2 - 3 ppm. Put another hole in the bottom and check again check again in two days.

8. The last step is to clean your hot tub about every three months. That should also depend on how much you use it. Do not use harsh cleansers. Just use a mild soap.
